What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy deals with the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system. It seeks to find the underlying cause or causes of a patient’s problem and addresses not only the areas of concern but also the interconnected areas. It takes a whole-body 
view in its approach to treatment. It is suitable for all ages and a wide range of conditions. Osteopaths use a variety of non-invasive techniques including soft tissue massage on muscles, gentle mobilisation of joints, manipulation, cranial treatment, stretching and exercises. Treatment is always tailored to the individual and their particular problem.
